Model Profile

What was it like being photographed at Darby Dan Farms, one of the most prestigious horse farms in KY for the very first Women of UK Swimsuit Calendar?
Darby Dan Farm was so beautiful! It was a little surreal for the owners to welcome us onto their farm where the Queen of England has stayed and Secretariat was filmed. One of the other models, Stephanie, and I even got a chance to roam the grounds and take pictures. I am so thankful for the opportunity to have been photographed at such a respected place in Kentucky!

What is your favorite part of being in the calendar, so far?
My favorite part of being in the calendar so far has definitely been the photo shoot at Darby Dan Horse Farm. Also, I have enjoyed getting to know the other girls in the calendar and everyone involved behind the scenes.

Why did you select UK for your university?
I’ve known I was going to UK for as long as I can remember! I’ve lived all over the world and have never considered going anywhere else but the University of Kentucky.

What's your favorite UK tradition?
My favorite UK tradition is going to basketball games. There is no better feeling than being in Rupp Arena with 25,000 of my closest friends!

Describe one of your favorite things about UK, and/or Lexington.
I love being a part of the culture that surrounds UK and the basketball program. It’s not only a sport; it is a way of life.

Describe your typical weekend night in Lexington.
Lexington has so much to offer, especially on the weekends, so I really don’t have a “typical” weekend night. Whether it’s going out downtown, catching a movie at the Kentucky Theater, or hanging out with my friends, I always have something different to do in Lexington.

Do you have a favorite sport at UK?
Of course my favorite sport at UK would be basketball! We are the winningest college basketball program and defending National Champions. Go Cats!

What is the dream job you would like to have after graduation?
After graduation I plan on going to law school and hope to become an attorney in the entertainment industry.

Why did you choose to be part of the Women of UK calendar?
After appearing in a few music videos this summer, I was approached to be in the calendar. I thought it would be a great opportunity to be in the first ever Women of UK Swimsuit Calendar and knew it would be a lot of fun!

List 3 or 4 words that describe you best?
I’m sociable, ambitious, and easy going. I love meeting new people and like to stay busy. I set high goals for myself and am determined to be successful. I like to go with the flow and not let things get me down.

Why did you choose your major?
I chose a communications major because I love interacting with people! I feel like this major will prepare me for my future as an attorney.

Are you involved in anything on or off campus you are proud of?
The last two years I have interned in Frankfort for a State Senator. I had the opportunity to network with many influential people and learned a lot about the ins and outs of how our government really works. It was an amazing experience working behind the scenes in state government.

What special talents do you have?
It’s not exactly a talent, but I am a classic rock junkie! I can name any song and artist on the radio. This talent especially shocks people older than me.

Name something that most people don't know about you.
People normally don’t know that I haven’t lived in Kentucky my whole life. I’ve lived in Florida, Texas, and even spent a year in Saudi Arabia! But, I will forever and always be a Kentucky girl!

What do you look for in a guy? What is sexy?
I look for an intelligent guy that can make me laugh. There is nothing more attractive than a sense of humor!

Tattoos - Turn on, turn off, I'm fine either way?
I’m really not attracted to being covered in tattoos, but one or two tattoos is no big deal.

Would you say you are more country girl or city girl?
I’m in between. I love the small town, country life, but also like the excitement of the city.

Roses or chocolates?
I’m not picky, so either one would be a great gift!
