What was it like being photographed in Florida this year for the 2013 Women of KU Swimsuit Calendar?
A great experience! It was the complete opposite from posing in front of tractors and wheat in the 2012 edition to posing in front of beaches and tropical scenes. It was pretty cool when complete strangers asked what the Women of KU were doing down in Florida for and what calendar it was, and them saying they'll be on the look out when it comes out!
What is your favorite part of being in the calendar?
My favorite part is definitely the having a great time at the appearances and meeting all of the girls. I knew quite a few of the them before the calendar, being in the calendar brought us closer. We may not hang out a whole lot, but we're still a tight group of girls, we look after each other, ya know. ;)
Why did you select KU for your university?
I was raised to be Jayhawk fan, I didn’t quite have a choice. Even when I was a little girl, it was set in stone I would go to KU. I think my family would be a little unhappy if I went to any other university!
What's your favorite KU tradition?
The Rock Chalk chant!
Describe one of your favorite things about KU and/or Lawrence.
I love walking to class seeing all the diversity on campus, and on a beautiful day seeing all the happy students on Wescoe Beach having a good time. It always puts me in a great mood seeing all of the fun things going on. The rich atmosphere in the Allen Fieldhouse and the Memorial Stadium is amazing, too.
Describe your typical weekend night in Lawrence.
Sometimes I stay home and relax and watch movies and sometimes I like to go out with the girls for an adventure! It just depends on the mood.
Do you have a favorite sport at KU?
Just like any other Jayhawk fan, basketball of course! I love football too, though.
What is the dream job you would like to have after graduation?
A dream job? I would love to own my own business.
Why did you choose to be part of the Women of KU calendar?
I thought it would be a cool thing to get involved in and my mom has always told me to take a risk and meet new people! It is a great honor to be in the longest-running collegiate calendar in the nation!
List 3 or 4 words that describe you best?
Ambitious, caring, loyal and fun!
Why did you choose your major?
I chose my major because I love learning and educating other people about nutrition and health. Knowing I can help other people and make them happy, makes me happy.
Are you involved in anything on or off campus you are proud of?
I compete in professional fitness and bikini competitions.
What special talents do you have?
...I can do the worm.
Name something that most people don't know about you.
My real name is Angelika. Ummm, I'm scared of the dark, I absolutely love the outdoors!!
What do you look for in a guy? What is sexy?
Personality is key, if you’re not attracted to someone’s personality I don’t think you can be attracted to them period. Any guy with a good sense of style, knows how to joke around, a loyal and humble man is a keeper in my book :)
Tattoos - Turn on, turn off, I'm fine either way?
Ehhh.. Tattoos get abused now days but if it's one or two that has meaning to it- thats fine.
Would you say you are more country girl or city girl?
City girl at heart, always.
Roses or chocolates?
Chocolate shaped roses! Jk chocolate because I love food! Mmm!
