Model Profile

What was it like being photographed in Florida this year for the 2013 Women of KU Swimsuit Calendar?
It was amazing! You can’t beat the warm weather, beach, and ocean. It was a nice mini vacation with all the girls.

What is your favorite part of being in the calendar?
I love getting to meet all the girls. The calendar is like one big happy family!

Why did you select KU for your university?
I have always loved KU. Plus, I was afraid my grandmother would disown me if I went somewhere else. Ha!

What's your favorite KU tradition?
My favorite is walking through the campanile and down the hill for graduation. I’m very excited to do that this spring!

Describe one of your favorite things about KU and/or Lawrence.
I love the atmosphere and diversity of Lawrence. Mass Street is by far my favorite place to people watch. And of course KU sports.

Describe your typical weekend night in Lawrence.
I can usually be found hanging out on Mass with friends, or having a movie night with the roomies.

Do you have a favorite sport at KU?
That’s a tough one... I like both football and basketball, but there is just something about football season that I love!

What is the dream job you would like to have after graduation?
My dream job would be to own my own physical therapy outpatient clinic, and to specialize in aquatic and neurological physical therapy.

Why did you choose to be part of the Women of KU calendar?
I loved every minute of the Women of KU last year, and wanted to be a part of the calendar again.

List 3 or 4 words that describe you best?
Vivacious, driven, and altruistic.

Why did you choose your major?
I have always been very involved with sports and a people person, so I knew I wanted to have an active and personable job. After going through physical therapy for an injury to my lower back, fell in love. Physical therapy is a combination of sports and getting to know new people.

Are you involved in anything on or off campus you are proud of?
I’m very proud of my intramural team. Shout out to Notorious DIG! Besides intramurals, I am also the Vice President of the Pre-Physical Therapy Club.

What special talents do you have?
I can isolate my abdominal muscles to do a forward and backward belly roll.

Name something that most people don't know about you.
I love to wakeboard.

What do you look for in a guy? What is sexy?
If a guy can’t make me laugh, he doesn’t stand a chance. Nothing is sexier than a guy who can laugh at himself and have a good time.

Tattoos - Turn on, turn off, I'm fine either way?
I don’t mind tattoos, as long as there are only just a few and they are meaningful.

Would you say you are more country girl or city girl?
I am more of a country girl; nothing beats a quiet starry night in the middle of nowhere. I also love being able to enjoy the outdoors by fishing and camping.

Roses or chocolates?
You can’t go wrong with either one!

I want to say...
How blessed I am to be in the calendar for my second year. It is such an amazing experience, and I’ve met an incredible group of girls that I hope to have friendships that last a lifetime.
